The Studio

Rob has his own Home Studio, where he can record Online Sessions. He has industry-standard microphones and a beautiful Yamaha C5 Grand Piano, Rhodes, a wide selection of Keyboards and Sample Libraries.

How It Works

Get in touch with Rob to discuss your track/project through the Contact Form – he can also happily arrange a telephone or Skype conversation.

Rob will advise, if necessary, on what he thinks that he could add to your project. Alternatively, you may know exactly what you want already! Either way, Rob will provide you with a quote, and should you wish to proceed, you can send him the files and he can get recording. He is able to either work out the parts by ear, or read charts/scores.

Rob will then record in his studio, and then send you a rough copy to make sure that you’re happy. Once you’re completely satisfied, the invoice will be payable via Bank Transfer. Upon receipt of payment, he will then deliver you separate stems of the Piano/Keyboards through Dropbox - in wav or mp3 format, however you desire.

Rob also does Track Production, and recent clients include The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent: The Champions, The Masked Singer (CeeLo Green, Katherine Jenkins, Jason Manford), Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals, Remembering The Oscars, Rip It Up: 70s, ted, Rachel Stevens, Phil Gallagher (as Mister Maker) Divalution, Marisha Wallace, Oli Nez and Rachel Hockley. Rob also served as a Musical Supervisor for Evolution for 4 years. There are examples of Track Production on the Music page.

Rob’s studio is also available to hire for, in particular small Acoustic Sessions, Vocal Sessions and Piano/Keyboard Tracking. Rob is also able to record Vocal Reels. Enquire using the Contact Form for more details.

Rob is a consummate all-round Musician who is equally at home on Keyboards in a Rhythm Section, Arranging or acting as Musical Director. He
is unquestionably one of the brightest new talents on the London scene.

Ralph Salmins - Leading UK Session Musician

Rob has worked for me on a number of projects for TV, Commercial Release and Stage, including Britain’s Got Talent, America's Got Talent and X Factor. His arrangements are exemplary in any style that I throw at him, whilst more often than not having to meet very imminent deadlines. Further to this, he is also a fantastic Piano player, with superb feel and groove.

Matthew Brind - Composer/Arranger/Orchestrator

I’ve worked with Rob for a number of years, both as a player and under his Musical Direction. As a Pianist, he has great time and feel. As an Arranger, his charts are absolutely brilliant; his take-downs are immaculate, but he also knows when to allow the musician the ‘freedom to play’. Added to this, he’s a good bloke, who makes sure that there is a strong balance between hard work and keeping morale high.

Adam Goldsmith — Leading UK Session Musician

Rob very quickly gained the trust of all concerned including the already seasoned musicians. He has an innate musicality that goes beyond training. His playing is exceptional and he has a superb ‘feel’ for the music in the show. Added to this he has a very easy going nature and natural leadership qualities. These combine to make Rob a person that everyone both likes and respects. I trust him implicitly and would have no hesitation in recommending him for any musical directing job.
